Senior bios: Cassopolis’ Owen Gardner

Owen Gardner is a senior on the Cassopolis track team.

Activities: Work out, play football and run track.

Hobbies: Study my sport, watch sports, fishing, hunting and reading.

My favorite track memory: Taking first place in the 100-meters at the Rotary Track Meet.

Future plans: I am going to attend Hillsdale College to play football and run track, as well as receive a great education.

Awards/achievements: Academic All-State in football, two-time first-team all-conference in football, all-conference track, all-state track, National Honor Society and a 4.0 GPA over my whole academic career.

Advice to underclassmen: Work as hard as you can right now, because you never know when your last time to compete will come. Have no regrets.

How have you been making the best of being quarantined? I’ve been working out as hard as I can so I will be prepared for football heading into college. I’ve been reading books as well and staying up on my classwork.
