Mount Calvary Helping Hands Ministries

Mount Calvary Helping Hands Ministries hosts a community food pantry on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Community members in need are encouraged to stop by 538 Ferry St., across from Mount Calvary Baptist Church, to access the Helping Hands Ministries services. Tuesday, April 13

American Legion Post 26 meeting

7 p.m.

The members of the Niles American Legion Post 26 will host their monthly meetings at the Niles Masonic Temple. The temple is located at 227 ½ East Main St, in Niles. Attendees should enter through the visible side entrance off Third street. The entrance will open as close to 6:30 p.m. as possible. The building will be lighted, wheel chair and scooter accessible. After entering, use the slow elevator to the second floor. Members and their guest will then follow the hallway.

4 to 7 p.m.

St. John’s UCC, 601 Sycamore St., Niles, is having a carry out fish fry dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 23 Cost is $10 for each dinner, with a limit of 300 tickets to be sold. Contact a church member or call the church office at (269) 683-4420 to purchase tickets.

Retired School Personnel

11 a.m.

The Cass County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will hold a regular meeting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, at the Edward Lowe Center Council on Aging, 60525 Decatur Road, Cassopolis. Please note the new meeting time. The meeting is open to all active and retired school personnel and their families. For more information, please send an e-mail to cass-marsp@hotmail.com.
